FORTE brings military energy resilience to Vilnius on 27-29 October.
The NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence programme connects cyber risks, storage, alternative fuels and Ukraine’s infrastructure experience. The agenda is an announcement, not a set of results.

FORTE 2026, Future Operations - Resilience in Transitioning Energy, takes place on 27-29 October at ARTIS Centrum Hotels in Vilnius. The NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence lists integrated energy resilience in a contested multi-domain environment as its theme.
The programme opens on the evening of 27 October. Its substantive sessions connect maritime energy security, cyber and AI, critical infrastructure, storage, thermal management and alternative fuels. The closing day includes a Ukraine energy-security update.
This is a useful dual-use agenda because military continuity and civilian energy services meet in the same supply chains. The published programme establishes topics for discussion, not tested performance or a purchasing commitment.
Two different tests of resilience
Keeping a system supplied and restoring it after disruption are related but different requirements. Our reading of the programme is that storage, fuels and thermal management should be judged against the service they preserve. A nominal equipment specification alone does not establish continuity for its user.
The Ukrainian discussion adds a reconstruction and grid-defence dimension. It should be followed as a planned exchange of experience, without treating the session title as evidence that a specific technology has already been validated.

Practical information and limits of access
The organiser identifies the venue as ARTIS Centrum Hotels, Totorių g. 23, Vilnius, Lithuania. Consult the official event page for current arrangements. We have verified the programme and venue, but not an entitlement to attend or remaining registration capacity.
Companies following the meeting can distinguish a research discussion, a supplier presentation and an acquisition opportunity. The listed presentations do not by themselves create an open competition. Any resulting partnerships, demonstrations or orders need their own confirmation.
