The sixth European Defence & Security Conference is scheduled for 29 October 2026 at Egmont Palace in Brussels. The organiser describes a forum for political, industrial and technological discussion on European defence cooperation.
Patria separately confirms participation and identifies two panel topics: aligning demand, investment and production capability, and ground capabilities on the Eastern Flank. Those are announced discussions, not agreed purchasing decisions.
The useful industrial question is the connection between them. Spending plans become deliverable capability only when a buyer’s requirement, investment decision and production commitment can be made consistent. The meeting provides a place to examine that relationship, not proof it has been resolved.
Capacity expansion needs a defined customer
In our assessment, a useful account of production expansion would distinguish installed capacity, funded investment and output already contracted. The same headline investment can have different implications for a manufacturer, a component supplier and the public buyer.
The ground-capability discussion adds the customer context. Suppliers should read the agenda as a way to understand priorities and potential integration responsibilities, without interpreting a speaker’s attendance as endorsement of their own product or a route around procurement requirements.

Venue and admission
The organiser gives the address as Egmont Palace, Place du Petit Sablon 8, Brussels, Belgium, and links to a Cvent registration page. Registration is a separate step from programme publication; the public event page does not guarantee admission to every reader.
Consult the organiser for the final agenda and access conditions. We do not reproduce exact panel times because one participant’s page labels them CEST even though the event falls after Europe’s seasonal clock change. That inconsistency does not alter the verified date of 29 October.
