Brave1 moves a Demo Day online: feedback without a physical gathering
The August event brought component suppliers and military users together. Its industrial focus was adapting products during manufacture.

Brave1 reported on 14 August that more than 400 participants had joined its first online defence technology demonstration. More than 50 manufacturers presented components and solutions intended to improve existing FPV platforms. These are the organiser’s participation figures, not an independent attendance audit.
The format matters as much as the total. The event avoided a physical gathering while preserving a route for suppliers to show products and receive military feedback. Brave1 presented the change as a response to security conditions.
The announced range covered more than ten technology categories, including batteries, ground stations and electronic modules. Three manufacturers presented modular platforms for the first time. A demonstration, however, does not establish that every product has passed military acceptance or secured an order.
Moving modification back to the factory
Brave1’s stated objective was to integrate useful changes during production rather than leaving military workshops to carry out the work later. This shifts the discussion from an isolated component to responsibility for the delivered configuration.
Our assessment is that the industrial issue includes documentation, compatibility and repeatability. A modification demonstrated once needs a defined production version if a buyer is to receive the same capability consistently. The announcement does not provide comparative test results for the products shown.
What suppliers can learn from the format
An online presentation can start a technical conversation, but it cannot answer every question about installation, support and use. Suppliers should distinguish what was demonstrated from what remains to be tested with a customer.
For partners outside Ukraine, the event illustrates how product feedback can be organised without waiting for a large exhibition. It does not establish that the same access is open to every foreign company. Participation rules and subsequent contacts must be confirmed with Brave1.
