Ekolot at MSPO: certification time is part of product readiness

Ekolot Aerospace & Defense’s Luis Edgardo Zapata Lopez spoke to MSSG about certification-related delays and support found locally in Poland. The account appeared in our MSPO supplier video, first published on 11 September.

The subject is not a minor administrative detail. For a prospective buyer, the date when a product can be shown and the date when it can be supplied for a defined use may differ. A credible delivery plan needs to explain that gap.

The interview describes the speaker’s experience. It does not establish a current certificate list for every Ekolot product, a universal approval timetable or a fast-track procedure available to the whole industry.

Readiness needs a defined use

Our analysis is that compliance status has to be connected to the actual configuration and intended use. A broad statement that a company is certified may conceal distinctions between products, versions or activities. The buyer should ask what document applies to the offered delivery.

This is particularly relevant to dual-use businesses because different customers can be asking for different things. A civil application and a military procurement should not be assumed to share every requirement merely because the underlying equipment is related.
